A small Yachimun dish, hand-made in Okinawa, Japan. “Yachimun” means 'Yachi' = baking and 'Mun' = object. This dish is very much in the style of renowned ceramicist, Kinjo Jiro, but I can't be sure it was made by him or his descendants. Kinjo’s pottery is characterized by engraved designs depicting the marine world of Okinawa. Signed on the bottom.
This dish would be the perfect bedside jewellery holder or a candle tealight holder. It would also look beautiful hung on a wall.
